The DP1001AM microprocessor-based 10-channel scanner accepts the same thermocouple input type for each input. Each channel can be manually or automatically scanned and active zones are displayed. Instrument is programmable for J, K, T or E thermocouple input types, degrees °C or °F, and scan rate between 2 to 60 seconds. Each channel has individual, independent and programmable alarm setpoints with alarm indicator. Memory and setpoints are retained when power is off.

The RS232 communications (2 wire configuration, Transmit/Ground) can monitor up to ten channels and software is included with every unit. A single output latching form C relay is provided to activate for an alarm condition on any zone. The instrument shows alarm condition for each channel on front display. The alarms are latching and are reset manually from the front panel.

Can I calibrate the DP1001AM?

Asked by: Melody
Thank you for your question. You cannot calibrate this unit in the field. Our 10 channel temperature scanner has an automatic calibration system internally, this is done by the microprocessor master control board. If the unit is not reading accurately then you need to contact our customer care team.

Alarm Type: Hi/Lo, what does this mean? High and Low window, band? Manual doesn't explain the setup? Thank you

Asked by: Dreamcatcher
Thank you for your inquiry! This simply means that each channel has the option for a high or low alarm which will trigger when that high or low value is exceeded by the process value.

I noticed a CJC (assuming that stands for Cold Junction Compensation) terminal on the back of the unit in the pinout diagram in the manual, but your manual doesn't mention it at all. could you expand on its setup/use(s).

Asked by: Sr Eng Lab Tech JW
Thank you for the inquiry. The CJC temperature sensor is located in the area of the copper wire to thermocouple terminations. The sensor output is used to determine the compensation needed to offset the electric potential generated at the copper wire to thermocouple termination. Best regards OMEGA

Can these be put on the same serial busses like the CN 6 channel / 12 channel series, can the software access this them this way or do they need separate serial lines and instances of the software?

Asked by: Nick_C
Hi Nick, This item has its own command protocol and software. It is not compatible with CN6 series unfortunately. Best regards OMEGA
