The DPG8001 Series of digital pressure gauges offer 0.25% full scale terminal point accuracy in a rugged easy-to-use unit, and the price is comparable to mechanical test gauges. All Stainless Steel wetted parts make them suitable for a wide variety of industrial liquids and gaseous media. This series features user-selectable engineering units, allowing one gauge to be used for a variety of pressure scales. The DPG8001 comes standard with many features that are either not available or extra cost options on many competitive digital gauges such as a tare, 20 segment bar graph MIN/MAX Memory, 9 selectable engineering units and backlighting for easy reading.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Gauge. My only complaint is that it didn't come with a calibration certification. I would think for a gauge of this level and price that would be included.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy purchase and quick dispatch We have bought in some occasions and we have not had any problems

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Digital compound gauge Got the compound gauge. My tech reports that the gauge fits the bill, but unlike an analog gauge it has to be manually changed from Vac. to PSI in the menu features. Makes a quick test just a touch longer with more steps. Other than that it's good.

What happens if you go above the max pressure? Are the readings no longer reliable?

Asked by: Engineer91
The full data sheet indicates the the Proof Press rating for the DPG8001 gauges. The DPG8001-10K unit can be safely overpressured to 120% of it's rated range without damage. This however does not means you should routinely overpressure the unit. This would eventually cause a positive offset in the reading.

DPG8001-5k will not display kpA....I have video to prove it....! (Using page 9 of instruction manual)

Asked by: Bob53
Thank you for the inquire The unit in question has the range of 0-5000 PS I, with a 5-digit display. All conversions with our DPG8001 are based on the full-scale capacity of the unit. If you convert this unit to KPA the conversion would exceed the units 5-digit capability.

what is the maximum range down>

Asked by: techsteve
Hello I am assuming you are talking about turn down ratio or rangeability, this model is a simple steady static gage that does not have any range down. If you want a rangeable unit please see PX3005

How to make the DPG8001-5K read in units of kPA....? User has tried unsuccessfully.

Asked by: Bob53
Bob, please see page 9 of the manual. Under Programmable parameters you will see "Units of Measure" . If you have followed those steps and are still unable to change units kindly contact the pressure dept at pressure@omega.com so we can troubleshoot with you.

When you change the refresh rate of the display, does it average the readings between each refresh, or only display one random reading each time it refreshes? Wondering how it would display a fluctuating pressure.

Asked by: Abeman
We currently do not have data to answer question. Please send you question to the Pressure, Strain and Force group at pressure@omega.com and we will research it for you

5000 PSI CONVERTS TO 34473 kPA (5 digits...!). So next question is... which of the DPG8001 series that can really display in kPa...? Will DPG8001-1K display in kPa......?

Asked by: Bob53
DPG8001 digital gages with pressure ranges of 1000 psi and above will not read in kPa. You can only select MPa

How can I make the max PSI reading continue to be displayed until I choose to clear it?

Asked by: John d
The procedure for Min/Max pressure measurement is explained in the DPG8001 user's manual which you can access at the bottom of our homepage under Manuals

Where do I add the suffix NIST in order to get the calibration cert?

Asked by: Rquintanilla
After the base part number you would add "-NIST". EX: DPG8001-100 would become DPG8001-100-NIST. Additional cost would be $218.00 added to base price.
