Spring Loaded Platinum RTD Probes With Connection Heads for Use in Thermowells PR-19-2-100-1-4-18-E-SL PR-19-2-100-1-4-18-E-SL
  • Spring Loaded Probes Provide Improved Response Time and Vibration Resistance When Used in Thermowells (See Section B for Thermowells) Note: When Installed in a Thermowell, the Thread Engagement will Equal the Spring Loading Compression Length
  • Standard Probes are Suplied with 100 Ohm, Class "A" DIN Platinum Elements in 3-Wire Configurations
  • Multiple Connection Head Options Include Screw Cover and Snap Locking Enclosures with Ceramic Terminal Boards (See Table and Section B)
  • The PR-12 (Cast Iron) and PR-18 (Hinged Aluminum) Connection Heads Can Accommodate An Optional 4 to 20 mA Transmitter. Please Note that the PR-14 (Miniature Aluminum) and PR-19 (Sub-Miniature Aluminum) Connection Heads Due to their Size Cannot Accommodate a Transmitter. (See Table and Section N)

These sensor designs incorporate spring loaded probes that insure that the probes are in intimate contact with the thermowell. This improves performance by providing a conductive path between the probe tip and thermowell, as well as improving vibration resistance. Supplied in the four most popular connection head styles, Cast Iron, Miniature Aluminum, Hinged Aluminum and Sub-Miniature Aluminum, with ceramic terminal boards or optional transmitters, these sensors can be configured to work with most thermowell type applications. These sensors are supplied with 100 ohm, Class A DIN Platinum elements contained in stainless steel probes and spring loaded hex fittings.

should the sheath length of an RTD match the stem length of the thermowell or the insertion length of the thermowell?

Asked by: anna
Thank you for asking your question. The sheath length of the RTD should match the stem length of the thermowell you are planning on using.
