In order to meet the immediate needs of science and industry for highest quality thermocouple wire in practical quantities at reasonable prices, OMEGA makes available thermocouple materials in a variety of wire sizes. The wire is supplied uninsulated on standard 3" diameter plastic spools in continuous 50-foot lengths.

Sizes range from 0.0005 to 0.128" (0.012 to 3.264 mm) diameter. The wire is supplied as single legs or in matched pairs to meet standard limits of error. Other wire sizes and quantities are available on special request.

Examples of pricing for just a few models is referenced in the "To Order" box. Use the "Part Number Builder" below to get pricing for all available models.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Met specifications Pursued copper wire as closest option to model HO scale fence line. May be too fragile to use and tend to curl!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Normal high standard. There is nothing new with this order. There was the same high standard of service and product that I have received with hundreds of orders over 50 years.

How best to connect a fine gauge K-type thermocouple wire (say 40 AWG) to a DAQ box which has a screw pressure contact. Is there a crimp you recommend

Asked by: Anonymous
It is best to call our engineers to review possible options.

I want to use J thermocouple wire without a probe (by twisting the ends of the stripped wires together) to measure the temperature of a curing polyurethane elastomer. I have been told that method is not valid. Is it? Thanks.

Asked by: Pam09
Twisting the wires does create a Thermocouple junction and senses at the point were the two wires first touch each other. This is a crude way to do this and the accuracy would not be truly known and should only be used in applications that have a very loose accuracy tolerance.
