The TC-WELD thermocouple welder is designed for sensor manufacturers who produce commercial-grade thermocouple junctions, and for users of large numbers of exposed junction thermocouples, such as test and development laboratories where multipoint temperature sensing of test pieces is required.

No special skills are needed and most people will be capable of producing quality work with minimal practice. The instrument can be operated via the front panel or by using the footswitch.

This model is suitable for welding wires up to 1.1 mm (0.043"") in diameter and has an argon gas shield facility.

A satisfactory thermocouple junction is produced without using argon, but where argon is available a momentary purge is automatically triggered immediately prior to the weld to give optimum weld integrity.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from President Unit works well, back feet we loose and installed backward. Hose fitting leaked . Fitting had to be removed and have Teflon tape added to the fitting to stop the leak. To panel screw heads are nearly stripped. All fixed except screws as that is cosmetic.

What is the difference between the TL-WELD and the TC-WELD?

Asked by: Anonymous
Thank you for the inquiry. The new TC-Weld includes carbon and copper electrodes. Copper electrode is useful for very fine wire welding ( 36 and 40 awg wire ). TL-Weld relies on carbon electrode only.
